Organizations are also invited to make brief presentations during the City Commission meeting scheduled for
6 p.m. on February 25th, 2013, in the Commission Chambers at City Hall (121 N. Rouse Ave, Bozeman).
The purpose of this ‘Request for Projects’ is to identify needs within the community
and begin discussions among City Commissioners and community organizations for determining best approaches for meeting these needs. In addition, one project determined of greatest potential
benefit to low and moderate income residents may be selected for city sponsorship of a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposal to the Montana Department of Commerce (MDOC).
Guidelines and criteria regarding this grant are available from the MDOC website.
In the event the City selects a project for sponsorship, the organization and project will be announced
during a public meeting (TBD). The City does not anticipate obligating City funds in support of any proposal. However, City staff may be designated to assist organizations seeking funding
for projects, whether or not these projects are selected for CDBG sponsorship.
