WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, a request I to annex a contiguous tract of land to the City of Bozeman, which is described as follows: A tract of land located in the Northwest !z; Southwest !z; Section 19, Township 2 South, Range 6 East, Montana Principal Meridian, Gallatin County, Montana, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the West one-quarter corner, a cast iron monument of said Section 19; thence South 000 13' 00" West, along the West section line of said Section 19, a distance of 574.33 feet; thence South 890 12' 20" East, a distance of 30.00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence South 890 12' 20" East, a distance of 728.65 feet; thence South 000 11' 52" West, a distance of 744.23 feet to a 1" iron pipe; thence North 890 25' 58" West, along the North boundary of Sourdough Creek Properties Subdivision No.1, a distance of 728.87 feet to a 5/8" rebar on the Easterly right-of-way of Wagonwheel Road; thence North 000 13' 00" East, along the Easterly right-of-way of Wagonwheel Road, a distance of 747.12 feet to the true point of beginning and containing 12.475 acres. The above described tract of land to be known and designated as the Woodridge Subdivision, Gallatin County, Montana, and all lands included in all streets, avenues and parks shown on subdivision plat are hereby granted and donated to the use of the public forever. The park require- ments will be met by dedicating 1,386 acres to McCleod Park. and whereas, it will be for the best interest of the City of Bozeman and the inhabitants hereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tract hereinbefore described to annex said contiguous tract to the City of Bozeman. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN: Section 1 I That a report of Planned Services, for the area to be annexed as required by Section 11-518, R.C.M. , 1947, is available in the office of the City-County Planning Board in the City Hall of the City of Bozeman, Montana. Section 2 That on Wednesday, the 7th day of March, 1979, at 1:15 o1clock p.m. at the Commission Room of the City Hall Building, Bozeman, Montana, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman will hold a public hearing on said report of Planned Services at which time and place all residents of the City of Bozeman will be given an opportunity to be heard. Section 3 That the Clerk of the City Commission is hereby directed to cause notice of public hearing, describing the boundaries of the area to be annexed, fixing the date, hour and place of the public hearing, and stating that the annexation report is available in the office of the City- County Planning Board in the City Hall Building of the City of Bozeman, to be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle once a week for four (4) successive weeks prior to the date of the hearing. The last date of the publication shall not be more than seven (7) days preceding the date of the public hearing. Section 4 That for a period of twenty (20) days after the public hearing provided for in Section 11-520, R.C.M. 1947, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman will receive written expression of approval or disapproval of the proposed annexation from resident freeholders of the territory proposed to be annexed. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 7th day of February, 1979, at a regular meeting of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, said Commission duly and regularly I passed and adopted Commission Resolution No. 2046 entitled: A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY TO ANNEX A CONTIGUOUS TRACT OF LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN, that Wednesday, the 7th day of March, 1979, at 1:15 o'clock p.m. at the Commission Room of the City Hall, Bozeman, Montana, is designated as the time and place for hearing objections to the action proposed to embrace the hereinafter described contiguous territories within the corporate limits of the City of Bozeman, Montana. Expressions of approval or disapproval by resident freeholders of the territories proposed to be embraced must be made in writing and filed with the Clerk of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman not later than twenty (20) days after the date of the first publication of this notice.
