HomeMy WebLinkAboutBogert Restroom Facility Invitation to BidCITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA INVITATION TO BID One New Flush-type Restroom Facility Your firm is invited to submit an offer under seal to City of Bozeman for construction of One New Flush-type Restroom Facility located at either at Bogert Park, 303 South Church or Kirk Park, 2000-3000 West Beall Street. Separate sealed bids for construction of a One New Flush-type Restroom Facility will be received by The City of Bozeman, Montana at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Suite 102, 121 North Rouse, PO Box 1230, Bozeman, MT 59771 until 11 a.m. local time on April 1, 2009 and then publicly opened and read aloud. This project is a New Flush-type Restroom Facility and involves constructing an approximate 410 square foot Concrete or Concrete Masonry Unit building either at Bogert Park, 303 South Church or Kirk Park, 2000-3000 West Beall Street. Bid Documents may be obtained at the City Clerk’s Office, located at 121 North Rouse, Suite 102 or on the City Web site: www.bozeman.net (select under the business dropdown, RFP-BID). Successful bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount within ten (10) days of the award of Contract. Each prime bidder or subcontractor will be required to have a valid Montana Public Contractor's License in the proper classification. Each prime bidder or subcontractor will be required to register with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry within ten (10) days of award of the Contract. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall comply with all fair labor practices and must meet the requirements of the State Statutes, which require that the Contractor and all subcontractors pay the prevailing rate of wages for District 6 to workers performing labor on contracts over $25,000. The restroom/toilet building shall be constructed of a concrete or CMU (concrete masonry unit) type material. Exceptions to the aforementioned will have to adequately demonstrate their advantage versus concrete/CMU type construction. The building shall comply with all current ADA regulations and statutes. The building shall be able to bear a snow load of 120 pounds per square foot and withstand wind gusts of 120 miles per hour. The building shall have two toilets in the women’s restroom, one which will be ADA accessible and one urinal and one ADA accessible toilet in the men’s restroom. Each restroom shall have a sink with running water. All water lines shall be of copper. All electrical and plumbing shall meet current city, state and federal building codes. The building shall have motion-activated interior lights, in addition to photocell-controlled outside exterior/security lights. An exhaust fan shall be provided in each restroom. The roof shall have a metal exterior. The building shall have a chase/utility room at least four feet wide between the two restrooms. To minimize vandalism, all utilities and plumbing shall be located in the chase/utility area. The exterior of the building shall have the capacity to be painted and sealed with a graffiti sealer. The final bid shall reflect all design, planning and engineering costs associated with this project.
