Story Mansion Interior Renovation CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA CALL FOR BIDS HISTORIC T.B. STORY MANSION INTERIOR RENOVATION, 811 SOUTH WILLSON AVENUE Sealed Bids for Historic T.B. Story Mansion Interior Renovation, 811 South Willson Avenue will be received by the City Clerk, City of Bozeman, Bozeman, Montana in her office located at 121 North Rouse, Suite No. 102 until 2 p.m. (local time) on Wednesday December 3, 2008 for multiple Bid Packages for Divisions 2 through 17 at which time the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Commission Room, Bozeman City Hall, 121 North Rouse Ave., Bozeman, MT 59715. Proposals will be received for the Historic T.B. Story Mansion Interior Renovation project, in accordance with the Specifications and other Contract Documents prepared by Comma-Q Architecture, Inc., 109 North Rouse Avenue, #1, Bozeman, MT 59715. Proposals shall be submitted on the “BID PROPOSAL FORMS” provided with the Contract Documents prior to the bid opening. Late bids will not be opened or acknowledged. No oral of faxed bids will be accepted. Modifications to Sealed Bids will be accepted via facsimile prior to the bid openings only. Bids must be signed by an officer or a person duly authorized to sign bids. Proposals will be received from Sub Contractors for the work as defined in the Construction Documents (specifications and drawings). Contracts will be executed with R & R Taylor Construction, Inc. of Bozeman, MT, previously selected as the project Construction Manager. A pre-bid walkthrough of the project will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the Historic T.B. Story Mansion, 811 South Willson Ave. Bozeman, Montana. All sub- contractors and bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Obtaining Contract Documents On Tuesday, November 11, 2008, Bidding documents will be on file at Montana plans exchanges as listed in the “INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS” or may be obtained at the office of the Architect: Comma-Q Architecture, Inc., 109 North Rouse Avenue #1, Bozeman, Montana 59715, (406) 585-1112 upon deposit of $100.00 per set. Parties requesting documents to be mailed must enclose an additional separate payment in the amount of $35.00 per set payable to Comma-Q Architecture, Inc. to cover postage and handling. Postage and handling is non- refundable. Documents remain the property of the Architect and must be No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) consecutive days from the date of returned prepaid. Full refund of deposit will be made for complete sets that are returned in acceptable condition: without notes, marks, or mutilations, and within 15 calendar days after the opening of proposals. Bid bonds are not required. However, each proposal must include as a separate bid item, the cost for the Contractor to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond. It will be decided at the discretion of R & R Taylor Construction Inc., whether or not successful bidders will be required to furnish these bonds. Montana State Requirements Each Bidder will be required to have a valid Montana Public License in the proper classification. The Bidder shall comply with all fair labor practices and must meet the requirements of the State Statutes. Owner Rights Reserved The City of Bozeman, hereinafter called the Owner, and R & R Taylor Construction Inc., hereinafter called the Construction Manager, reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any irregularities or technicality in any Proposal, to evaluate the bids submitted and to accept the Proposal that best serves the interest of the Owner.
