HomeMy WebLinkAboutLandfill Sewer Service Improvements Invitation to BidINVITATION TO BID Separate sealed bids for construction of the City of Bozeman Landfill Sewer Service Improvements will be received by City of Bozeman, Montana at the office of the Clerk of Commission at the City Hall, 411 East Main St., P.O. Box 1230, Bozeman, MT 59771 until 1:00 p.m. local time on June 5, 2007. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 1:00 p.m., on June 5, 2007, in the above-mentioned building. The project consists of: Installing a 6” gravity line, a sewage grinder pump, and service line via a pressure service and 4” gravity service to connect to the City of Bozeman wastewater collection system. The contract documents, consisting of half size Drawings and Project Manual, may be examined or obtained at the office of Great West Engineering, Inc., located at 2030 11th Avenue, PO Box 4817, Helena MT 59604, Phone (406) 449-8627 in accordance with Article 2.01 of Instructions to Bidders. Required deposit is $75.00 per set, which is not refundable. In addition, the Drawings and Project Manual may also be examined at the following locations: Great Falls Builders Exchange Bozeman Plan Library Montana Contractors Association (Helena) Billings Plan Exchange There will be a Pre-Bid Conference at the project site located at the City landfill equipment building on Story Mill Road at 1:30 p.m. on May 23, 2007. Interested CONTRACTORS are encouraged to attend. CONTRACTORS and any of the CONTRACTORS’ subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) prior to bidding this project. Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena MT 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. No bids will be considered that do not carry the CONTRACTOR’S Registration Number on the bid and on the envelope containing the bid. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTORS or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as required by the Montana Prevailing Wage Law. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Bozeman, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid that is in the best interest of the OWNER.
