Action Items
Revised
Idle Free Bozeman Outreach Plan
Looked over list of actions: prioritized schools. Will reach out, with assistance of Ruff, to school district (through Instructional Cabinet). Will take
the other angle of going through the PACs for follow-up on the issue; the school administration will allow us to get the materials into the schools in the first place. Both are important.
Idle
Free Bozeman Flier and Poster
Remaining places to hit:
Mechanics
Schools/ Driver’s ed classes
Banks
Signal Box Art Wrap
Art contest under way. Think we will have plenty of art.
First
Security Bank Window display
Set up Monday, Jan 7th, tear down Monday Jan 14th.
Idea to have a group of art kids help us design the window – Weaver will ask art class @ Morning Star;
Baker will approach the United Way after-school programs that have been interested in assisting with the art contest in the first place.
Letters to the Editor/ Editorials (Hert)
We were
told to wait until after the election to have a letter: we should ask again, once we have something we’re ready to submit.
PAC Meeting Schedule
Should be on the websites for each school’s
website.
Radio Ads
Moving forward on the “no-ask” ads with KGLT.
Idling Presentation for Community Meetings
Meyer showed updated presentation.
Figuring out places to fit the presentation (or
simply presenting the flier to groups who don’t have much of a time slot).
Green Drinks: USGBC is having the November one, and we could present there (according to Weaver, who is organizing).
Good test run!
Schools:
Instructional Cabinet would be a good way to hit all the important admin higher-ups, to get top-level buy-in to get materials into the schools.
Schools already
have bought into the DEQ’s Clean Air Zone campaign: this is simply helping to expand upon that, and keep it moving along. Adressing idling the signs haven’t gotten to.
Follow-up is key:
perhaps PACs can provide this.
Newsletters: Ruff will get the idling message into his transportation section of school newsletters.
