Rouse Ave. (City Commission Room) Members Present: Elin Hert, Wendy Weaver, Natalie Meyer (staff liaison), Emily Baker (AmeriCorps Member) Call to Order Changes to the Agenda Public Comment – Please state your name and address in an audible tone of voice for the record. This is the time for individuals to comment on matters falling within the purview of the Working Group. Please limit your comments to three minutes. Action Items Review Final IFB Flier and Poster Generally liked. A few more edits to the ‘why warm the engine’ section. Upcoming Outreach Strategies Flier Distribution Schools: bulletin boards, driver’s ed. Mechanics Perhaps framed posters might be better accepted. Coffee Shops Banks Weaver suggested getting the window-front at First Security. Agreement that this is a great idea. Electric Box Art Wrap Moving forward: Kids’ art contest. Review of contest guidelines. Rec Dept will host; GG United Way is working with us. Letters to the Editor Hert investigated, and was told to wait until after the election. PAC Meeting Schedule Hert is investigating, and suggests we push info out through the various PAC fb pages. Potential to go the the SAC meeting of the school board w/ all pac heads. Radio Ads We will inquire further with Phil to see how he recorded the ads; suggestion to contact Michelle Wolf, the DJ, and MSU re: creating them as a project for film school students. Idling Presentation for Community Events Presentation by Meyer Several minor suggestions given: mostly relating to photo choice. Developing presentation schedule and venues: need to find groups which will be receptive to a short presentation before their regular meetings.
