Call to Order Changes to the Agenda Public Comment – Please state your name and address in an audible tone of voice for the record. This is the time for individuals to comment on matters falling within the purview of the Working Group. Please limit your comments to three minutes. Action Items Reviewed Final Idling Survey- Contained useful information on motivations, including greater concern over energy independence than expected. Review Final Idle Free Bozeman Flyer and Poster Some edits; discussion of ‘warming up the car’ section. 2012 Idle Free Bozeman Outreach Proposal: Reviewed a list of proposed outreach strategies to undertake each fall. Working group members had some additions, but generally supported the outlined strategy. Elin would like to see us pursue getting Idle Free signs into business parking lots, but agreed we should focus on the other outreach strategies first. Other suggestions provided: Definitely make sure we get information into driver’s ed classes Put fliers at mechanics, oil change places. Agreement we should put blurbs in school newsletters seasonally. Vance Ruff previously offered to do this. Guest Editorial: Elin. In BDC, perhaps in Montana Parent Mag. Board of Health info: Get it on their website. Also, Neighborhood Associations. Bring the info to the PACs, see if we can find a champion at several schools. Ask PACs: how can you help us? Push info out through Bridger Bowl, get it into the local’s guide… Go to the school board, ask them to incorporate into parent ed somehow. Taylor commented that we’re at a tipping point, much like littering, where people are finally getting serious about getting this to stop. Sandwich Boards: much like the crosswalk warning ones; could we put out anti-idling ones? Group approved list, but recognize we may have limited volunteer time to achieve all items on the list. Start working down the list and see how far we can get. Logo Use the Idle Free and brown “no-idle symbol” from the existing handout in additional materials
