Rouse Call to Order Review and Approve Minutes of June 6, 2012 meeting. Public Comments. Please state your name and address in an audible tone of voice for the record. Please limit your comments to three minutes. Old Business: Preparation of Grant to City Parks Commission for funds for Lindley Park benches; Status of building benches. Building Signage for Fairgrounds’ Grand Ave. Entrance for use by Senior Center. Request Handicapped loading zone for buses at Wilson School Building Sidewalk Ramp. Promote Bozeman as a site for the Governor’s Conference on Aging – to be reviewed in February 2013. MSU Status of Internship with Department of Health and Human Development Report from James Goehrung, City ADA Coordinator and Board Liaison to MSU Disabilities Advisory Board: Improve access to and within University buildings Develop criteria for ‘senior friendly’ designation and find ways to recognize local businesses for their efforts. Write letters to the Editor of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle recognizing local businesses for their senior friendliness. Awards/Recognition ceremony during City Commission meetings/window decal Promote the State Insurance Commission and Securities Commission’s video, “Gold Diggers: Investment Fraud in the Treasure State.” Obtain one additional member for the Board. Increase awareness of Bozeman’s present and potential value as a desirable retirement location and of the value of the senior population to the City and State economy. Prepare paragraph regarding Montana population demographics for use in the Board’s written materials. Other New Business Report on “The Graying of Montana” conference, Norm Dreyer.
