COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2169
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA DECLARING IT
TO BE THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE INHABITANTS
THEREOF, AND OF THE INHABITANTS OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS
TO THE SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN, AND HEREIN MORE PARTICULARLY DES-
CRIBED AND TO BE KNOWN AS THE GALLATIN VETERINARY AND CREDIT
UNION ANNEXATION TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES OF THE SAID CITY

OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO INCLUDE THE SAID CONTIGUOUS TRACTS WITHIN
THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Commission of the City of
Bozeman a written agreement consenting to the said City Commission extending the
boundaries of the City of Bozeman so as to incl ude certain contiguous tracts of
land within the boundaries of the City of Bozeman and having presented to the City
of Bozeman certificates of survey of said land; and
WHEREAS, the proper legal description of said contiguous tracts located
in the County of Gallatin, State of Montana, is as follows:
Description of the
Gallatin Veterinary and Credit
Union Annexation
A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
(SE~, SW~) of Section 11, Township 2 South, Range 5 East. M.P.M.,
Gallatin County, Montana, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the East 1/16 corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW~)
of said Section 11; thence South 000151 West on and along the
East line of said Southwest Quarter (SW~) a distance of 331.33
feet to the northewesterly right of way of U.S. Highway No. 191,
as now layed out and constructed; thence South 42021130" West
on and along said right of way a distance of 149.16 feet thence
North 00015' East parallel to and 100.00 feet distant from the

East line of the said Southwest Quarter (SW~)
a distance of 89.49 feet, to a point
on
the right of wa6 of a frontage road along U.S. Highway, No. 191;
thence South 42 23122" West on and along said right of way a
distance of 149.01 feet to the Southeast corner of the tract of
land platted on Film 11, Page 447, Gallatin County Records;
thence North 00015100" East a distance of 459.54 feet to the
said North line of the SE~, SW~, Section 11, thence North 890
23114" East a distance of 200.0 feet to the point of beginning.
Said tract of land containing two parcels being a total of 1.83
acres.
TOGETHER WITH an easement for road purposes over and across
a strip of land 60 feet in width measured at right angles to
the South line of the above described tract of land; said
easement to be used jointly with adjoining land owners and
the public as an access road 60 feet in width lying North of
and adjoining U.S. Highway #191. This easement to continue
until grantors herein dedicate said roadway to the public for
public use.
WHEREAS, it will be for the best interests of the City of Bozeman and the
inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts hereinbefore des-
cribed to extend the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman so as to include the said
contiguous tracts hereinbefore described within the corporate limits of the said City
of Bozeman.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:

Section 1
That it is hereby declared to be to the best interest of the City of Bozeman
and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts hereinbefore
described that the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman be extended so as to include the
I contiguous tracts hereinbefore described within the boundaries and corporate limits of
the City of Bozeman. Montana.
Section 2
Pursuant to Section 11-403. R.C.M.. 1947, the Clerk of the City Commission shall
cause notice to be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle. a newspaper nearest the parcels
of land to be embraced within the corporate limits and boundaries of the City of Bozeman.
at least once a week for two successive weeks which notice shall be to the effect that
such resolution has been duly and legally passed and that for a period of twenty (20) days
after the first publication of such notice the Clerk of the City Commission will receive
expressions of approval and disapproval in writing as to the proposed extension of the
boundaries of the City of Bozeman from resident freeholders of the territories to be
embraced.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 18th day of March. 1980. at a regular
meeting of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman. Montana, said Commission duly
and regularly passed and adopted Commission Resolution No. 2169 entitled:

NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN, that Wednesday, the 23rd day of April, 1980,
at 1:15 olclock p.m. at the Commission Room of the City Hall, Bozeman, Montana, is
designated as the time and place for hearing objections to the action proposed to
extend the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman so as to include the said contiguous I
tracts within the corporate limits thereof. Expression of approval or disapproval by
resident freeholders of the territories to be embraced must be made in writing and
filed with the Clerk of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman not later than
twenty (20) days after the date of the first publication of this notice.
Description of the boundaries of the territories proposed to be embraced
by said Commission Resolution No. 2169 is as follows:

Gallatin Veterinary and Credit Union Annexation
A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
(SE~, SW~) of Section 11, Township 2 South, Range 5 East, M.P.M.,
Gallatin County, Montana, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the East 1/16 corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW~)
of said Section 11; thence South 000151 West on and along the
East line of said Southwest Quarter (SW~) a distance of 331.33
feet to the northwesterly right of way of U.S.Highway No. 191,
as now layed out and constructed; thence South 42021130" West
on and along said right of way a distance of 149.16 feet thence
North 000151 East parallel to and 100.0 feet distant from the
East line of the said Southwest Quarter (SW~) a distance of
89.49 feet, to a point on the right of way of a frontage road
along U.S.Highway, No. 191; thence South 42023122" West on and I
along said right of way a distance of 149.01 feet to the South-
east corner of the tract of land platted on Film 11, Page 447,
Gallatin County Records; thence North 00015100" East a distance
of 459.54 feet to the said North line of the SE~, SW~, Section
11, thence North 89023'14" East a distance of 200.0 feet to
the point of beginning. Said tract of land containing two
parcels being a total of 1.83 acres.
