A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE
THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE INHABITANTS THEREOF,
AND OF THE INHABITANTS OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE SAID
CITY OF BOZEMAN, AND HEREIN MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AND TO
BE KNOWN AS THE BARRICK ANNEXATION TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO INCLUDE THE SAID CONTIGUOUS TRACTS I
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Commission of the City of
. Bozeman a written agreement consenting to the said City Commission extending the
boundaries of the City of Bozeman so as to include certain contiguous tracts of land
within the boundaries of the City of Bozeman and having presented to the City of Bozeman
certificates of survey of said land; and
WHEREAS, the proper legal description of said contiguous tracts located in
the County of Gallatin, State of Montana, is as follows:
Description of the
Barrick Annexation
Parcel I.
The East Half of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of the South-
west Quarter (E ~, E~2' NEJ4. SW!,;) of Section 11, Township 2South,
Range 5 East of the M.P.M., Gallatin County. Montana.
Parcel II
The West Half of the East Half of the Northeast Quarter of the South-
west Quarter (W~. E~, NE!,;, SW!,;) of Section 11, Township 2 South.
Range 5 East. M.P.M., Gallatin County, Montana.
Parcel II I I
All that portion of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter (S~. NW!,;)
of Section 11. Township 2 South, Range 5 East. within the following
metes and bounds. to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point in the south line of the South Half of the
Northwest Quarter (S~, NW!,;) of Section 11, Township 2 South, Range
5 East, said point being 1325.4 feet east of the Southwest corner
thereof; thence north 1335.25 feet more or less, to a point in the
north line of said South Half of the Northwest Quarter, said point
being 1368.4 feet east of the Northwest corner thereof; thence east
along the north line of said South Half of the Northwest Quarter
330 feet; thence South 1334.94 feet, more or less, to the south line
of said South Half of the Northwest Quarter; thence West along said
South line 330 feet to the place of beginning.
Parcel IV
All that part of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter (S~, NW~)
of Section 11, Township 2 South, Range 5 East, M.P.M., within the
following described metes and bounds, to-wit: Beginning at a point
in the South line of the South Half of the North-
west Quarter (S~, NW!,;) of said Section 11, Township 2 South. Range
5 East, M.P.M., said point being 1655.4 feet East of the Southwest
corner thereof; thence North 1334.94 feet, more or less to a point
in the North line of said South Half of the Northwest Quarter (S~,
NW!,;) said point being 1698.4 feet East of the Northwest corner
thereof; thence East along the North line of said South Half of
the Northwest Quarter (S~. NW!,;) 398.86 feet; thence South 1354.56
feet, more or less, to the South line of said South Half of the
Northwest Quarter (S~, NW!,;), thence West along said South line I
398.86 feet to the place of beginning.
EXCEPT all that part of the South Half of the Northwest Quarter

M.P.M., included within the following metes and bounds, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the South line of said South Half of the
Northwest Quarter (S~, NW~), said point being 2054.26 feet East of

of 144 feet; thence North 7030' East a distance of 460 feet,

of the herein described tract. From said point of beginning continue

the North line of said Section 11, for 185.00 feet; thence run South
1000'00" West for 139.00 feet to an iron pin and the point of beginning
of the herein described tract. From said point of beginning continue
South 1000'00" West for 200.00 feet to an iron pin; thence run North
89000'00" West for 100.00 feet to an iron pin; thence run North 890
00'00" West for 100.00 feet to an iron pin; thence run North 1000'00"
East for 200.00 feet to an iron pin; thence run South 89000'00" East
for 100.00 feet to the point of beginning.
I WHEREAS. it will be for the best interests of the Cfty of Bozeman and the inhabi-
tants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts hereinbefore described to
extend the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman so as to include the said contiguous
tracts hereinbefore described within the corporate limits of the said City of Bozeman.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN:
Section 1
That it is hereby declared to be to the best interest of the City of Bozeman
and the inhabitants thereof and of the inhabitants of the contiguous tracts hereinbefore
described that the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman be extended so as to include
the contiguous tracts hereinbefore described within the boundaries and corporate limits
of the City of Bozeman. Montana.
Section 2
Pursuant to Section 7-2-4708(2) MCA 1979, R.C.M., 1947, the Clerk of the
City Commission shall cause notice to be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a
newspaper nearest the parcels of land to be embraced within the corporate limits and
boundaries of the City of Bozeman. at least once a week for four successive weeks which
I notice shall be to the effect that such resolution has been duly and legally passed
and that for a period of twenty (20) days after the first publication of such notice
the Clerk of the City Commission will receive expressions of approval and disapproval
in writing as to the proposed extension of the boundaries of the City of Bozeman from
resident freeholders of the territories to be embraced.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman. Montana,
at a regular session thereof held on the 12th day of March. 1980.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO
BE THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE INHABITANTS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 12th day of March, 1980, at a regular meeting
of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, said Commission duly and regularly
passed and adopted Commission Resolution No. 2167, entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO
BE THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN AND THE INHABITANTS THEREOF,
AND OF THE INHABITANTS OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS TO THE SAID
CITY OF BOZEMAN, AND HEREIN MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AND TO
BE KNOWN AS THE BARRI CK ANNEXATION TO EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
SAID CITY OF BOZEMAN SO AS TO INCLUDE THE SAID CONTIGUOUS TRACTS
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF.
" NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN, that Wednesday, the 16th day of April, 1980,
at 1:15 o'clock p.m. at the Commission Room of the City Hall, Bozeman, Montana, is

designated as the time and place for hearing objections to the action proposed to extend
the boundaries of the said City of Bozeman so as to include the said contiguous tracts
within the corporate limits thereof. Expression of approval or disapproval by resident
freeholders of the territories to be embraced must be made in writing and filed with
the Clerk of the City Commission of the City of Bozeman not later than twenty (20) days
after the date of the first publication of this notice.
