➢ Crews are increasingly busy with dog stations, garbage and trying to
keep up with the mowing between storms. Crews haven't had the
opportunity to get out and spray much. We have gotten out this week
and sprayed ball fields and various undeveloped areas.
➢ We have hired on our seasonal crew, we are up to 14 seasonals, with
potentially a few more, if we transition into blvd maintenance.
➢ We are splitting the bill with the Optimists out at the Bozeman Ponds
to install a scaled down full court cement basketball court. The court
has been poured and we are waiting for the concrete to cure to set the
hoop standards. Great project!!
➢ User groups are using city fields and facilities: Bronken (soccer), W
Babcock, Kirk and Christie (baseball), N. Grand (girl's fastpitch), The
Complex (adult softball), Lerner (summer lacrosse) and Bogert
Pavilion has the Farmer's Market every Tuesday through September.
➢ PIG Projects that are on-going or close to completion: Infield
renovation at the Complex (GVSA), Infield and dugout renovation at
Aasheim Field (Blackhawk baseball), a drinking fountain at Bogert
(Friends of Parks), repair of the existing faQade to the Bogert
restrooms (Friends of Parks and SLAM.)
