COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2184
A resolution of the City of Bozeman declaring it to be the intention of the City
of Bozeman to sell one (1) 1961 Howe 1,000 gallon Pumper, Vehicle Identification Number FA
77 764F, to a county or other political subdivision within the State of Montana.
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman is purchasing a new Mini-Pumper for its Fire Division
in the near future; and I
WHEREAS, the 1961 Howe 1,000 gallon Pumper, Vehicle Identification Number FA
77 764F, is at such an age that it is no longer an asset in computing the City.s fire rating
and, therefore, is not beneficial to the operation of the Fire Division; and
WHEREAS, Section 7-8-101(2), Montana Codes Annotated, 1979, grants to the City
of Bozeman the power to dispose of any property, which is not necessary for the conduct of
the City business, to any county or political subdivision, without an ordinance, public
notice, public auction, bids or appraisal.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Commission of the City of Bozeman:
Section 1
That it is hereby declared to be in the best interests of the City of Bozeman
to sell one (1) 1961 Howe 1,000 gallon Pumper, Vehicle Identification No. FA 77 764F, to
a county or other pOlitical subdivision within the State of Montana.
Section 2
Pursuant to Section 7-8-101, M.C.A., 1979, the Clerk of the City Commission shall
cause notice to be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, at least once a week for I
three (3) successive weeks which notice shall be to the effect that such resolution has been
duly and legally passed and further expressing the City's intent to dispose of the 1961
Howe 1,000 gallon Pumper, Vehicle Identification No. FA 77 764F, in the manner described
herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at
a regular session thereof held on the 30th day of April, 1980.

certify that the foregoing Resolution No. 2184 was published by title and number in the
Bozeman Daily Chronicle, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said
City, in the issue dated the 4th, 11th, and 18th day of May,1980, and due proof of such
publication is on file in my office.
