Days: Thursday - Monday
Scheduled Hours: 9 am – 5 pm
The primary responsibility of the CBP Officer assigned to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport is to provide
service (CBP clearance for arriving aircraft) to the airport.
Processing international cargo entries/importations. The cargo may arrive in-bond by truck, rail or air,
or directly by air.
Overseeing a Customs and Border Protection
Bonded Warehouse or Foreign Trade Zone. The
Bozeman/Belgrade area now has the opportunity to apply for a Bonded Warehouse or Foreign Trade
Zone. Bonded Warehouses are used
to store foreign merchandise that has not cleared Customs and
Border Protection (duty is not paid until the merchandise leaves the warehouse and enters the
U.S.). Foreign
Trade Zones are used to store foreign merchandise or manufacture products using
foreign components (duty is not paid until the merchandise leaves the Foreign Trade Zone and enters
the U.S.).
Registering weapons for hunters traveling overseas. Bozeman area hunters will no longer need to
travel to Helena or Great Falls to register their
weapons prior to flying out of Bozeman for foreign
hunting trips.
