SUBJECT: 2008 Sewer Rehabilitation project

AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Consent
RECOMMENDATION: Approve and authorize City Manager to sign Amendment No 4 to the
Professional Services Agreement.
BACKGROUND: Attached is a copy of the partially executed Amendment No. 4 with Great
West Engineering, Inc. for Professional Engineering Services for the sewer main renovation
project.
The document is in the City’s standard format. The amendment is to add the bidding and
construction phase services to the project. They were not included in the original agreement
because the scope of work for the construction project had not been finalized due to budgetary
constraints. The proposed fee of $74,650 appears to be commensurate with the project
complexity and anticipated total project cost.
UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None
ALTERNATIVES: As suggested by the City Commission
FISCAL EFFECTS: If approved, this amendment will increase the fee by $74,650 from
$134,380 to $209,030.
