• Still need to apply for rating for Bicycle Friendly Community
• Bill feels that we won't get a rating, but will apply anyway (working with Taylor
Lonsdale and Cathy Kostakis on this)
• Missingdittle to no training for bike safety available, abike lanes/miles of road,
no training, no additional "teeth".
• When we get "rejected" (if we get rejected), we can go to them with what we
are missing and ask for those things.
• Deadline: end of June/early July
• For next year, we should talk about our Bike Friendly Community (if we have it or
not) as our Bike Week talking points.
• Does Helena have a rating?
• Bill is interested in certification to do trainings- we need more these for rating
• Can we get some bike-related training through Driver's Ed: can you add street
use education (bike and pedestrians). Would need to talk to schools.
