Item # 1—Call meeting to order:
• Chairperson Hoch called the meeting to order at 12:00p.m.
Item #2 — Review meeting agenda:
• No changes were requested
Item #3 —Approve March 21, 2012 meeting minutes —Action„Item:
• No public comment was presented
• No changes were requested
Motion: Boardmember Engler motioned to approve the March 21, 2012 minutes as presented
Boardmember Racow seconded the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.
Item #4— Public Comment:
• No public comment was presented
Item #5 — New Business:
A) Historic Preservation Walk:
• Board members were going to walk the tour after the meeting but no public notice was made regarding
extending the meeting. The board members were asked to look at the trees and provide any
information that they can. Information is requested on the following trees:
• the Maple by the railroad tracks north of the Depot where Wallace meets the tracks
• the Norway Spruce on Broadway across from the Brewery,this tree is on private property
• Boardmember Keck provided photos from the Pioneer Museum
B) Voucher Program:
• two hundred vouchers will be sent out July 1"
• vouchers are worth $100 per six inch diameter of tree, as an example a thirty inch diameter tree would
get five vouchers
C) New Meeting Time:
• after a short discussion it was decided that no changes would be made
• the July and August meeting dates were changed to accommodate schedules; the new dates are July
11th and August 22nd
D) Montana Big Tree Program:
• a copy of the Montana Big Tree Program nomination form was passed out
Item #6—Old Business:
A) Arbor Day 2012:
• there were no changes from the last meeting
• Foreman Stover will notify the board when the planting at the school is scheduled
• Foreman Stover will have an information booth at Bogert Park during the Bozeman Cleanup Day
• there will be an e-waste event at the Fairgrounds that weekend also, they are accepting glass
• MSU will plant one tree on Graduation Day in May
B) Cost Share Program 2012:
• 55 trees have been sold so far
• the Norway Maples have sold out
C) Tree Walk Herita e Tree Program:
• this is a duplicate of Item #5A
D) Rouse Ave. Rebuild:
• the plan to start Phase 1 is still 2015 so this item will be moved to the FYI section
Item #7 — FYI:
• None of these items were discussed

Item #8 —Other:
• add MSU Tree Campus USA update to the next months agenda
• Chairperson Hoch will not be available for all meetings this summer due to schedule conflicts
Item #9 —Schedule next meeting— May 16, 2012:
• The next scheduled meeting is set for May 16, 2012 in the City Shops Training Room at 814 N. Bozeman
Ave from noon to fpm
Motion: Boardmember Keck motioned to adjourn the meeting at 12:54 pm.
Boardmember Engler seconded the motion.
The motion passed unanimously.
