Hand out summer program guide. We are offering programs in a variety of interest areas. We have over 400 kids in our spring t-ball league and will be introducing a youth l<icl<balk league for 4-7 year olds this summer. Registration for summer programs is in full swing and going well! A handful of our classes are full with waiting lists. 2. We have been using our new registration and facility reservation software system since the end of March when our summer program guide came out and we have done over $88,000 worth of transactions to date. It has been a fairly smooth transition from the old to the new system. 3. Online registration is new for us as of March 25 and has proven to be very popular! We have done $25,000 worth of transactions online since we launched it. 4. The Recreation Department will be an Emerson Lunch on the Lawn sponsor this summer as a way to market our programs. The event normally draws 300 plus people on a weekly basis and is held on Wednesdays in July and August. 5. Ron, Dan and I have been working on a Division restructure for the Recreation and Aquatics side of the department and have presented it to the City Manager. We have since learned that the Recreation Superintendent position will not be funded in FY 13. 6. Projected opening day at Bogert Pool is June 23. Roof repair is happening now and scheduled to be complete by May 21. The pool is being drained and cleaned by aquatic staff in preparation for opening day. Swim Lessons are almost completely full. 7. Summer staff training will be held the first two weeks of June.
