Dear Cathy
We would like to thank you and the League of Women Voters for being a part of Clean Up Day
this April. We thank you for participating, and for your generous donation to support the event.
You're part of a grand tradition of service and sustainability in our community. Bozeman
community groups and citizens have removed thousands of tons of trash from streets and parks,
since the first event in 1989. It wouldn't be the same without your participation.
Clean Up Day is at the heart of the Gallatin Earth Celebration, a weeklong Earth Day celebration
focused on education, outreach, and service. Though the GEC emerged from the traditional
"Bozeman Clean-up Day", it has grown into a larger partnership between Montana State
University, the City of Bozeman, local businesses and organizations, and independent citizens.
The overarching goal of the GEC is to inspire environmental stewardship and pride of place by
bringing community members together to clean-up our neighborhoods, learn what is
happening in our region to advance sustainability, and get involved in making Bozeman the best
it can be. We hope you will continue to be involved with the Sustainability Fair in the future, and
invite your ideas about how to make the GEC even better in 2013.
Again, thank you for participating in the 2012 Sustainability Fair at Clean Up Day.
Sincerely,

focused on education, outreach, and service.
