Program Director's Report None presented Executive Director's Report Maintenance Program Update During the fall staff work 4 to 5 days a week which will transition to 3 to 4 times a week with the advent of winter. Their primary duties include emptying trash receptacles, picking up garbage, pedestrian ramp snow removal, banner installations, holiday decoration maintenance, and graffiti removal. FY2011 Y-T-D FY2012 Y-T-D Trash Emptied 1152 1554 Graffiti Removed 55 51 New Truck Update I contacted Joe Billion regarding our search for a "new" BID maintenance truck. He put me in touch with both his Dodge and GMC general managers who are now keeping an eye out for the type of truck we need. They will be watching the regional auction lists and their other vehicle acquisition channels. I am still trying to speak to the right person regarding any trucks available from USDA/USFS. I have found six different trucks on Craigslist that have potential. Holiday Decoration Installations The streetlamp lit garland and bows will be installed on November 20th and 21St by the BID maintenance staff. The Christmas "Spiders" will be installed on Monday November 28th by the usual host of volunteers from the Bozeman Fire Department, Bozeman Forestry Division, Bozeman Streets and Signals, Bozeman Arborcare, and Montana Crane. The support cables were successfully replaced on October 28th. Travis Barton of the BFD said they were in worse shape than previously realized thus confirming that these repairs were very much needed. The intersection wreaths and Soroptomist tree lights will be installed the week of the November 28th by the Bozeman Forestry and Bozeman Arborcare respectively. Montana Downtown Coalition I continue to orchestrate the formation of the Montana Downtown Coalition. The "founding" eight downtown organizations met at the downtown conference and decided to proceed with the following official actions: formally incorporate as a 501c6; establish a bank account at First Interstate Bank; develop a website that will serve the Montana Downtown Coalition and Conference. This year's conference netted over $1500 in profits which I pledged to be the seed money for the Coalition. Development Updates On October 24th the City Commission decided to delay the release of the Carnegie Lot RFP further pending discussions at the January 23rd Commission meeting. This continued delay is in reaction to request from private property owners to give them time to work on potential hotel development projects. Discussion and Decision Items Due to the lack of a quorum, the meeting was adjourned.
