C. Public Comment
D. Action Items
a. Review logo plan
Page 1 How we are described. Ben agreed it's an OK way to introduce the group.
Voting on logos
Extends our timeline
Nick: would be nice to get it in the Chronicle
Ben: be cautious. A logo with the most votes shouldn't necessarily be the winner, since people can
just launch a popularity campaign with their friends.
How to get the word out
Put it on the city's website
Post it in the chronicle
Tell all graphic designers we collectively know.
Page 3
Highlighted line regarding vector files. Ben and Nick agree to leave it in, our designer should
understand this information.
Can we use FaceBook to deliver logo concepts?
Lots of issues with this. Our page is currently"inside-out" and not going to change within our
timeframe.
Chronicle's"question of the week" might be worth exploring. A point of contact would be Nick Ehli.
Logo Concepts
Ben suggested we leave the quantity open-ended, not limited to 3.
City license issue: if we like their submissions, we may let them complete that process after
submitting.

Cyndy: We should meet April 25 to give designers more lead time. Agreed by group.
The question was asked, "Who will own the logo?" Page 3 states the logo will belong to the city.
Page 5. Files must be vector-based, not just EPS and JPG
Usage Guidelines: Take these out, we can write them later.
-Take out examples of correct usage and sizing guidelines. We can generate these.
-Leave just digital deliverables to be generated by designers.
-Take out examples of incorrect usage.
-Logo should be delivered as artwork without fonts necessitated.
Kathy: Page 4 Public Input needs clarification
-Paula:The value of the Chronicle or online posting is exposure, not just the actual feedback.
-Could post on easels at the public library or city hall.
-Invite the public to comment on concepts after we review them.
We will not have online voting
-Cyndy:This group has been very open and transparent so far, and doesn't need to include every
comment from the public.
-Designers don't really want to hear everyone's personal preferences and they aren't always
constructive.
b. Website design
Include case studies of different actions from around town
Nick: Wordpress of another widely used platform allows us to easily transfer it from person to
person.
Jay:The website for Park City, Utah is a separate entity. This begs the question—Should we be one
with the city or separate?
Our goal is to get people involved so how should we organize it?
Arrange from highest impact to lower impacts
Within each, embed clear calls to action
Be redundant to catch people in different ways.
Jay: Can we link to businesses that can help?
Emily:Yes, as long as we're open to adding new entities.
Cyndy:The city needs to be careful that it isn't advocating for certain businesses over others.
Paula: We aren't capable of certifying different businesses/industries.
Kathy: We can link to an outside website that lists information.
Questions
Main Headings—Group them together(Food, Waste, Water)
It should be set up so things can always be added later.
Is this a climate action site or a city sustainability site?
Start with a clear focus and build on later. Also, link to other resources.
Add infographics to help people understand how pieces fit together(pie charts, etc)
While working on the site, include information on what's going to be added later.
Jay:Those who have signed up to be a partner should be listed. Where would this be located?
Paula: Under"Be a Partner."This is where people will also be able to sign up.
Status Reports: What are we reporting, and how frequently?
How can we incorporate the CAP?
Total download available in the About Us section
Link to relevant information on each section's page.
Divide into 2 parts:Active and Planned.
