1) Enhance Downtown Development Opportunities
a) Collaborate with the Downtown Partnership, Montana Department of Transportation and
Transportation Coordinating Committee to finalize design and implement the Downtown Urban
Route Transformation Project. (Arkell/Hixson)
b) Facilitate development of a downtown hotel as identified in the downtown development plan
(Fontenot) - Ongoing. Krauss-wants to get this off of the plate.
2) Implement the adopted economic development plan, integrating economic development principles
throughout the organization
i) Implement community development service delivery system changes
ii) Commitment to a business-friendly process with a focus on retention and expansion of existing
local businesses (McHarg/Fontenot)
iii) Expand Planning Director administrative approvals
iv) Exempt small projects based on specific criteria (i.e. G ?As)
v) Implement over the counter approvals
vi) Simplify reuse application process
vii)Reduce conditional
viii) Implement administrative deviation and alternative compliance processes
ix) Consolidate regulatory structure of zone district standards and overlay zone guidelines
(entryway corridor design standards)

b) Adoption of a Mandeville Farm lan in a collaboration with the Department of Natural Resources

c) Support Gallatin College Programs k
• Approve 2013 fiscal year budget that includes 1.5 mills for Gallatin College programs. This
should stay as an item as we look at funding priorities.
• Gain regional support for Gallatin College Programs 1.5 mill levy.

3) Adopt comprehensive strategies and financial plans to address deferred maintenance Mehl-remain a
