CALL FOR BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Bozeman, Montana, is accepting separate sealed
bids for:
80-Niche Columbarium Wall with Bench, Slabs and Sidewalk
Separate sealed bids for construction of an all granite,polished, mahogany colored 80-niche
columbarium wall with bench, slabs and sidewalk will be received by the City Clerk, City
Hall, 121 N. Rouse Avenue, P.O. Box 1230, Bozeman, Montana 59771-1230 until 2:30 p.m.,
local time, Tuesday, February 7, 2012, and then publicly opened and read aloud..
Please write the name of the project: 80-Niche Columbarium Wall on the front of the
sealed bid.

Bids must be received before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Original copies must be
submitted—no faxed of electronic bids will be accepted. Bids will be opened and read following
the close of bids.
This wall will be the same as the existing wall that we currently have at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Freight, handling, installation and any incidental charges are the responsibility of the seller and
shall be included in the overall quoted price. The City of Bozeman will provide the excavation
and base material; anything else needed, will be in accordance with specifications provided by
the seller
This work includes:
Bench:
In addition to the wall, we will require one reflecting bench. This bench will be the same as one
of the existing benches in place.
Concrete Slabs:
An 8-foot wide by 10 foot long broom finished concrete slab shall be installed on the opposite
side of the columbarium wall.
In addition, there will need to be a concrete slab poured between the North bench and the new
wall. This will be approximately 5-feet by 10-feet. Same finish as above.
Sidewalk:
We will need 115-feet of standard side walk that is to code. This will include a landing that is 9-
feet long by 5-feet wide, with standard depth.
Any submitting entity under this invitation to bid must sign and return the required affirmation
stating that they will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital
status, national origin, or because of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or
disability in the exercise of contract should it be awarded to that entity. Each entity submitting
under this notice shall also recognize in writing the eventual contract will contain a provision
prohibiting discrimination as described above and this prohibition on discrimination shall apply
to the hiring and treatment of the Contractor's employees and to all subcontracts.
Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond
payable to the City of Bozeman, Montana, in an amount not less than Ten percent (10%) of the
total amount of the bid. Successful bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a
labor and materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of One Hundred percent (100%) of the
contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful bidder(s) and a
Certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided.
No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of bids, which is 2:30
p.m. local time, February 7, 2012.
The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone
the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed Sixty (60) days, and to accept the bid
which is in the best interests of the Owner.
The City of Bozeman is required to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
