HomeMy WebLinkAboutRFP for Facilities Condition Index CITY OF BOZEMAN,MONTANA REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS SEEKING PROPOSALS FROM ARCHITECTURAL FIRMS TO ASSIST THE CITY IN THE PREPARATION OF A FACILITIES CONDITION INVENTORY The City of Bozeman is going to assess the overall condition of multiple city owned buildings using the Facilities Condition Index, (FCI) model. This will be the second round, with the last assessment done in 2008. Additional buildings will be added this time. The buildings include: Alfred M. Stiff Professional Building; Bozeman Senior Center; Fire Stations 91,92, and 93; Bozeman Public Library; Swim Center; City Hall, City Shop Complex; Vehicle Maintenance; Lindley Center;Beall Park Center;Bogert Pool House; and Cemetery Building. The work will entail a tour of each building with an assessment team made up of a plumber, electrician, mechanical consultant, building official, and facilities staff, lead by the architect. All facets of the building and site will be assessed as outlined in the FCI. A summary report will then be prepared for each building by the architect. • Interested firms shall submit a letter of interest. • An overview of their experience with the FCI process. • A proposed schedule for conducting the site visits and report. • References for other FCIs they have completed. • An estimated cost for each site visit and for the preparation of the final report. Please write the name of the project: ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR FACILITIES CONDITION INVENTORY on the front of the sealed proposal. RFPs must be received before 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Original copies must be submitted—no faxed of electronic bids will be accepted. Any submitting entity under this invitation to bid must sign and return the required affirmation stating that they will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, or because of actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or disability in the exercise of contract should it be awarded to that entity. Each entity submitting under this notice shall also recognize in writing the eventual contract will contain a provision prohibiting discrimination as described above and this prohibition on discrimination shall apply to the hiring and treatment of the Contractor's employees and to all subcontracts.
