BACKGROUND: Two terms on the Economic Development Council expire February 1, 2012. Neither applicant has reapplied. Tie Fbuf Five new applications have been received. The creation and appointment of an Economic Development Council was recommended and described in the Economic Development Plan adopted by the City Commission on August 3, 2009. In February, 2010, the seven member Council was appointed. Shortly thereafter, the Council brought forward Ordinance No. 1784 adding Chapter 2.86 of the Bozeman Municipal Code for the official creation of the Economic Development Council and establishing the duties and responsibilities thereof. After initial appointments, council members shall serve three year staggered terms.
