COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2553
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN TO SELL CERTAIN SURPLUS ITEMS FROM THE DEPARTMENT
OF FINANCE TO A COUNTY OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION
WITHIN THE STATE OF MONTANA.
WHEREAS, the Department of Finance of the City of Bozeman has recently purchased
an IBM System/38 to provide expanded computer capabilities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Finance of the City of Bozeman no longer has a need
for the IBM System/34 computer, and the same is hereby declared surplus; and
WHEREAS, Section 7-8-101 (2), Montana Code Annotated, grants the City of Bozeman
the power to dispose of any property, which is not necessary for the conduct of the City
business, to any county or other political subdivision, without an ordinance, publ ic auction,
bids or appraisal.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana:
Section 1
That it is hereby declared to be in the best interests of the City of Bozeman to sell
the IBM System/34 computer previously operated by the Department of Finance to a county
or other political subdivision within the State of Montana.
Section 2
That pursuant to Section 7-8-101, M.C.A., the Clerk of the City Commission shall

cause notice to be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle, at least once a week for three
(3) successive weeks, which notice shall be to the effect that such Resolution has been duly
and legally passed and further expressing the City's intent to dispose of the items listed in
Section 1, in the manner described herein.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION of the City of Bozeman, Montana,
at a regular session thereof held on the 6th day of

NOTICE
The City of Bozeman, having passed Commission Resolution No. 2553 and pur-
suant to the provisions of Section 7-8-101, Montana Code Annotated, hereby serves notice
of its intent to sell an IBM System/34 computer previously operated by the Department of
Finance, to a county or other political subdivision within the State of Montana.
