A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S
PARTICIPATION IN THE MONTANA CERTIFIED CITIES
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Bozeman City Commission is interested in maintaining a
healthy and growing local economy; and
WHEREAS, the Gallatin Development Corporation has formed in Bozeman in
order to provide technical assistance to existing and new businesses and indus-
try; and
WHEREAS, the Montana Department of Commerce and the Montana Ambassadors
have recently developed the Montana Certified Cities Program (MCCP) as a way
to encourage local economic development activities across the State; and
WHEREAS, this program offers the City of Bozeman an opportunity to
strengthen its business development efforts and its working relationship with
the Montana Department of Commerce.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Bozeman City Commission
hereby authorizes the City's participation in the Montana Certified Cities
Program, designates the Gallatin Development Corporation as the sponsoring
organization, and supports the Gallatin Development Corporation's efforts to

raise funds for a reasonable MCCP budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Bozeman will pay the $100
application fee, and the Gallatin Development Corporation will report regularly
to the Bozeman City Commission on the status of MCCP activities.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman on
this 20th day of
