Item 4 1 — Call meeting;to order:
R Chairperson Keck called the meeting to order at 12,:00.m.

The motion passed unanimously.
Item 44 — Open Public Comment:

Item 45 — New Busiiness:
A) Cornri-iission approval of the master plam
* The Master Plan was approved by the City Commission
• The Commission requested clarification on the Storm Water Regulations, once explained
they understood the inclusion of the requirements.
• They also made a change to page four, point fourteen by changing the wording to
~make the p}onnin5 in the older parts oftown as n priority".

The noon hour works best for most board members but due to scheduling problems the day of
the meeting may need tobe changed during the fall months,

A) Tree Walk:
0 There was discussion of Boardmember Engler's email of ideas an what to include in the tree
walk
o KxSU Forestry and History students may be interested in finding interesting stories about
the trees |n the area
o The Historic Preservation Board does anuua| walks, this could he tied into their events
0 Once the work is completed onQm Street trees will be planted in the boulevards and median,
The design will be similar to what &4SU has on 81h between Harrison and Cleveland,
• This board will he included ln what gets done on the median
• Irrigation will he included, it Could come from KnSU or Cooper Park
• Planting may not start Until the following spring, it could possibly be an Arbor Day Event
m Irving School students could be invited to Cooper Park and asked what they would like to know,
their questions could be included ln the brochure.

° This Would be a self guided tree walk so a disclaimer would need to be included in the brochure
stating all participants need to be respectful of private property when viewing the trees.
* Assignments for the next meeting are�
o Commissioner Mehf will contact David Cook at Irving School to see if they would be
interested in having students meet at Cooper Park
o Chairperson Keck will get information from the Pioneer Museum
o Boardrnember Hoch will see if there are any MSU students interested in working on the
project
o Board Secretary 0pzinsk| will get information on when the Historical Preservation
Board and Recreation and Park Board meet

Park Director Ron Dingman has been working dosely with the group,- there is a grant for the
work where the homeowner and the city split the cost.

upstairs at City Hall, 121 N. Rouse Ave,
