A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOZEMAN, MONTANA, AUTHORIZING THE COMMITMENT OF
MATCHING FUNDS , FOR THE TREASURE STATE ENDOWMENT
PROGRAM PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING GRANT APPLICATION.
WHEREAS,the City of Bozeman is applying to the Montana Department of Commerce for
financial assistance from the Treasure State Endowment Program to develop a Preliminary Engineering
Report for the mitigation of storm water impacts on parking lots adjacent to Bozeman Creek within the
City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman has the legal jurisdiction and authority to construct, finance,
operate, and maintain storm sewer systems; and
WHEREAS, the Bozeman Parking Commission recognizes the environmental hazards caused
by storm water from the Rouse Lot and supports the development of improvement alternatives;.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOZEMAN CITY COMMISSION:
1, The City of Bozeman agrees to comply with all State laws and regulations and the
requirements described in the TSEP Application Guidelines and those that will be
described in the TSEP Project Administration Manual; and
2. The City commits to provide the amount of matching funds as proposed in the TSEP
application, not to exceed $15,000, as has already been committed by the Downtown Tax
Increment Finance District; and
That assurance is provided that Chris Kukulski, City Manager, is authorized to submit this
Resolution 4354

application to the Montana Department of Commerce on behalf of the City of Bozeman, to act on the
City's behalf and to provide such additional information as may be required.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a
regular session thereof held on the 14`x' day of November, 2011.
