Human Resource Development Council, IX
Director's Report
November 15, 2011
STREAMLINE: We received notification from Adam Kraft that our allotment for 2013 will
be $912,904 as compared to $877,104 for this fiscal year. It's not much of an increase but it
may keep us at our current service levels.
It looks like our two new Yellow Buses are a couple of weeks out from delivery. Two buses
showed up in Whitehall as I reported last meeting, but one was for Butte and one for Kalispell.
Our millionth rider was Roberta Stevens. She lives in Bozeman and is 80 years old. She
has taken Streamline every weekâsometimes every day. She took Streamline for the
first time on day 2 of operations over 5 years ago. She has met people from all different
walks of life and ages and all because Streamline allows her to get out and meet people.
She has had hip and knee surgery and couldn't get out without Streamline.
We have run into some problems with the GPS tracking as of late due to an upgrade by
Verizon. Something in the upgrade did not match what we are trying to do with the tablets.
The problem should be fixed by the time you read this.
GALAVAN: Galavan added 16 new clients in October and gave a total of 1,985 rides in 21
days of service. Our ride numbers have actually dropped over the past couple of months on a
per day basis. We seem to be getting more and more "no shows" or "attempts". This is also
something I will address in the letter that goes out to all of our riders the beginning of
December.
