Human Resource Development Council, IX
Director's Report
October 18, 2011
STREAMLINE: Dana, Sunshine and I attended the Fall Montana Department of
Transportation Conference in Helena this week. The workshop covered the rules for the new
grant cycle as well as the new reporting requirements. All quarterly reporting will now be
done through a web based site.
One thing that came out of the meeting in Helena was that they are suggesting we build our
next budget on this year's numbers. They do not anticipate any increase in funding and are
hoping for no decrease as well, but we will not know that until Congress acts on a new
appropriations bill. Keep your fingers crossed.
Our new camera system is up and running at the Smyth Building. There needs to be a little
adjustment made to the angle of some of the cameras, but they should catch any vandalism,
accidents, or unauthorized car washes.
We are taking bids for additional lighting at our new site as well. Both improvements will be
covered by remaining ARRA funds.
Adam Kraft did not have an update on the location of our Streamline buses. He is going to
check into our delivery date for us. I will keep you posted.
GALAVAN: Galavan added 15 new clients in September and gave a total of 2,147 rides in 22
days of service.
Our recertification for Galavan eligibility is going along steadily. We are ready to send out the
first batch of non-eligible notifications. There is an appeal process so at some point members
of the board may need to become involved.
