Request for Bids
Notice is hereby given that the City of Bozeman, Montana is accepting sealed bids for:
Remodel of the City Shop Complex
The City of Bozeman is accepting bids from interested contractors for the remodel of the City
Shop Complex located at 814 North Bozeman. The project includes Men's and Women's
ADA restroom facilities; an ADA shower; Women's locker room; office reconfigurations; a
new Training Room, Break Room, and Kitchenette; along with upgraded Mechanical and
Electrical services in the above spaces. Total area for the renovation is approximately 2,600
square feet.
Bids are due at the Bozeman City Clerk's office located in City Hall, at 121 North Rouse Ave.
by 2:30p.m. on Tuesday, May 24 th , at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read.
The bid opening is scheduled in the Madison Conference Room, upstairs at City Hall.
Please write the name of the project on the front of the sealed bid.

Bid Documents for a Stipulated Sum contract may be obtained from the office of the Architect,
Dowling Sandholm Architects, 2042 Stadium Drive, Suite 2, Bozeman, MT 59715. A $100.00
refundable deposit will be charged for one plan set. In order to receive a deposit refund, the plan
set must be returned within 10 business days following the bid opening and must be unmarked
and in good condition.
Plan sets, Drawings and Bid Documents, may also be examined at the following Plan Exchange
locations in: Bozeman, Butte, Helena, Great Falls, and Billings.
There will be a Pre -Bid meeting at the project site located at 814 North Bozeman, on Friday,
May 13, 2011 at 10:00a.m. The pre -bid meeting is mandatory, in order to familiarize bidders
with project requirements and existing conditions.
Bids must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the bidding documents. Hard copies only,
no faxed or electronic versions will be accepted. Late bids will be returned to the contractors
as non - responsive. The City of Bozeman is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not
discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Discrimination
in the performance of any contract awarded under this Invitation to Bid on the basis of race,
color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin, or actual or perceived sexual
orientation, gender identity or disability is prohibited. This prohibition shall apply to the hiring
and treatment of the awarded entity's employees and to all subcontracts. Every entity
submitting under this Invitation to Bid must sign and return the required affirmation. The
affirmation is included in Section 00301 -Bid Form of the bidding documents. Failure to
comply with the above shall be cause for the City to deem the Bidder's Bid Submittal non-
responsive.
Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond
payable to The City of Bozeman Montana, in an amount not less than ten percent (10 %) of the
total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Construction
Performance Bond and a Construction (Labor and Materials) Payment Bond, each in the amount
of one hundred percent (100 %) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided
by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided.
No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of the Bids specified
above.
The right is reserved to reject any or all Proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone
the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed ninety (90) days, and to accept the lowest
responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the City of Bozeman.
