HomeMy WebLinkAboutWeb PDF for Invite Bogert SwimCITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Bozeman, Montana is accepting sealed Request for Statements of Qualifications for: BOGERT POOL RENOVATION PROJECT The City of Bozeman (City) is seeking Statements of Qualification (SOQs) from Contractors qualified to provide design and construction services for the Bogert Pool Renovation (Project). The City will evaluate the SOQs based on the contractor’s ability to meet the Project Requirements and Project Schedule and demonstrate relevant Project Experience. Contractors must show their ability to meet the Project Requirements and Project Schedule to qualify. The SOQ must include the following information: 1. Contractor’s Qualifications and Financial Information; 2. Project Personnel Organization Chart; 3. Resumes of Key Personnel; 4. Project Schedule; 5. Evidence showing compliance with the Project Requirements; 6. Project experience for 3 similar projects with references. Three copies of the SOQ must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 15, 2011 to: The physical address is: City Clerk’s Office, Suite 102, City Hall, 121 N. Please write the name of the project on the front of the sealed bid. Responses received after 5:00 p.m. on this date will not be considered. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle on the following date September 4, 2011 and September 11, 2011. Detailed information regarding the Scope of the Statement of Qualifications can be found at www.bozeman.net by choosing the BIDS Icon and clicking on the title of the Bid, or interested parties can obtain a hard copy at the City Clerk’s Office. The submitted SOQ will be utilized by the City of Bozeman (City) to select a contractor to provide design and construction services for this project. Qualified contractors must include a construction schedule with the SOQ that demonstrates their ability to complete all work by June 1, 2012 assuming a notice to proceed will be issued between September 30 and October 30, 2011. As required by State Law (MCA 18-2-502), after evaluating the responses of the RFQ, a request for proposals (RFP) will be sent to each respondent that meets the qualifications criteria specified in the RFQ. The weighted criteria used to evaluate the RFP will determine the contractor selected for the project. Statements of Qualifications (3 copies) must be received no later than September 15, 2011 at the City Clerk’s Office. Project Schedule depicting all tasks for Project Completion by June 1, 2012with the Notice to Proceed between September 30 and October 30, 2011. 2. All work under this contract shall be done in strict accordance with all applicable current Federal, State, and local regulations, standards and codes governing American Disabilities Act (ADA), and any other trade work done in conjunction with the project. The most recent edition of any relevant regulation, standard, document or code shall be in effect. 3. Developed Health and Safety Program with Worker’s Compensation Experience Modification Factor at or below 1.0. 4. Fully licensed, bonded, and insured in the State of Montana to the following limits: Commercial General Liability: Bodily Injury and Property Damage ($1,000,000 each occurrence or $2,000,000 “General Aggregate”), automobile insurance, worker’s compensation: employer’s liability ($100,000 each accident), statutory occupational disease, and asbestos coverage liability insurance $1,000,000 per claim and aggregate. SCOPE OF SERVICES BOGERT POOL RENOVATION PROJECT The general scope of contractor services is itemized below. 1. Project Setup a. Prepare a project work plan. b. Prepare necessary design documents. c. Mobilize staff and equipment. 2. Gutter System a. Remove and dispose of existing gutter system. b. Installation of new Type 316L stainless steel gutter system. c. Install new pool piping system as required. d. Installation of tiled depth makers in new gutter. 3. Pool Shell a. Sandblast and removal of existing paint, and aggregate(as required by manufacture). b. Epoxy repair of cracks in pool shell. c. Installation of a new Diamond-Brite aggregate pool finish (according to manufactures instructions). d. Installation of race line and accent marker tile, & installation of tile logo (similar to existing) in the shallow portion of the pool. e. Removal of steps and replacement with stainless steel ladders. 4. Additional optional bid item a. installation of wheel chair ramp with rails in shallow pool. Proposals must clearly demonstrate the contractor's ability to provide the services detailed above given their current staffing and equipment. Any subcontractors must be identified along with their work tasks and appropriate credentials.
