COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2904 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, ESTABLISHING RATES FOR WASTE WATER (SEWER) SERVICES CHARGES FOR THE CITY OF BOZEMAN. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, following notice and public hearing, established a new Rate Schedule for the City of Bozeman's Waste Water . (Sewer) Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, that the new rates for waste water service charges shall become effective for that billing period which will first appear on the March 1, 1993, billing, as follows, to wit: Section 1 Metered Customers Effective on the March 1, 1993, billing A. MONTHL Y BILLING AND CUSTOMER CHARGES Customer Class Monthly charge - All metered customers $ 4.29 per customer per month . B. ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR METERED CUSTOMERS Customer Class Residential $ O. 71/ccf based on average winter water usage Commercial, Industrial and MSU $ 0.71/ccf based on metered water usage C. CHARGE FOR EXTRA STRENGTH WASTE Suspended Solids in excess of 200/ppm $ 0.151/pound Biochemical Oxygen Demand in excess of 250/ppm $ 0.125/pound Explanatory note: Each customer shall pay a minimum monthly bill which includes the monthly charge (A) plus an additional charge (B). For extra strength waste, a customer shall pay the extra charge (C). . Section 2 Unmetered Customers Effective on the March 1, 1993, billing Customer Class All unmetered customers $10.05 per month Section 3 Billina Procedures Charges for waste water rental under this schedule shall be made a part of the .,..._---.._~-' ,~ -- ""=""=-...- .-.- - ~ - - ---- '" current monthly water bill, to be shown by separate item on such bill. Acceptance will not be made of separate payment of either the charge for the water or the charge for the waste water service charges. Both charges must be paid at the same time; partial payments will be prorated between water and waste water. Charges for water used and waste water service charges become due and payable . on the first day of each month. If any bill is not paid on or before the fifteenth day of that month, it will then become delinquent; and if not paid in full by the fifteenth day of the following month, water service to the premises involved may be discontinued. A charge of fifteen dollars ($15.00) during regular business hours or thirty-five dollars ($35.00) during non-business hours shall be made for reinstating a water service which has been discontinued for non-payment of water and waste water service charges. Section 4 Protests In cases where waste water service charges under this schedule are claimed to be unfair, unreasonable or not in proportion to charges made to other waste water users, the person or persons against whom such charges are made may apply to the City Manager for . an adjustment, stating the circumstances. The City Manager may make such adjustment of . the waste water service charges as is deemed necessary, fair and equitable. '.
