SUBJECT: Appointments to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee
MEETING DATE: July 11, 2011

RECOMMENDATION: Appoint two new members to the Impact Fee Advisory Committee.
BACKGROUND: There are three ongoing vacancies on this Committee, one for a certified
public accountant, one for a citizen not employed by the development industry and one for a land
developer. Two new applications have been received.
The Impact Fee Advisory Committee, established under 7-6-1604, MCA, shall consist of nine
members to be appointed by the City Commission. The members shall be
the City Engineer;
the City Finance Director;
a certified public accountant who shall hold no other public office or employment;
1 builder;
1 land developer;
2 citizens of Bozeman not employed in the development industry; and
2 other members as selected by the City Commission.
A majority of members must be residents of the City of Bozeman. Appointments are made for
two years. The Committee will act in an advisory capacity to the City Commission.
This board currently has three vacancies and two new applicants.

PLEASE NOTE: Per Ordinance No. 1759, revising Chapter 2.01 of the Bozeman Municipal
Code, all board members are required to attend a yearly ethics workshop provided free of charge
by the City as a condition of service as a member of a board.
Applicants should apply as one of the following: certified public accountant not
holding public office or employment; builder; land developer; citizen of Bozeman not
employed in the development industry; or members selected by City Commission.
