HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3427 Change Commission meeting time COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3427 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, CHANGING THE TIME OF THE REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN. WHEREAS, Commission Resolution No. 2981, adopted on the 13th day of June 1994, set the time of regular meetings of the City Commission at 3:00 p.m. on Monday of each week to conduct the routine matters, recess, adjourn and/or reconvene at 7:00 p.m. for all public hearings and public interest matters, for the summer months only; and WHEREAS, Commission Resolution No. 3003, adopted on the 22nd day of August 1994, continued that Commission meeting time rather than allowing it to revert back to the previous meeting time; and WHEREAS, at its meeting held on the 26th day of February 2001, the Commissioners expressed a desire to change the starting time of its meetings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana: That the starting time of regular meetings of the City Commission be changed to 6:00 p.m. on Monday of each week to conduct the routine matters, with public hearings and public interest matters to be considered at 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month, or more frequently if needed. Should there be no public hearings or public interest matters on the agenda, the City Commission may adjourn at the close of its regular business. Whenever a legal holiday falls on a Monday, the regular meeting time shall commence on the next business day at 6:00 p.m. This new start time shall be effective with the March 12, 2001, Commission meeting.
