The work is to change the water lisle insulation board from 100 psi to 60 psi board. This change will lower the unit price for this work from $95.00 per square yard to $60.00 per square yard, for a difference of $35.00 per square yard. The pricing is based on using BSI 60 psi foam boards with 4 -foot widths. The estimated quantity of this item is 205 square yards, Based on estimated quantities, this change would reduce the contract price by 'Seven Thousand One Hundred Seventy -Five Dollars and Zero Cents (47,175.00). Item 2: This change would affect Bid Item No. 41 -- Electrical. The work is to install additional electrical conduit and pull boxes in preparation for the Owner to install future Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) at each cross walk. The work requires revisions to pull box types in some locations, some additional new pull boxes, and additional conduit to run to each pedestrian cross -walk sign base, and conduit elbow sweeps and stubs up thru the sign base to allow for future conductors to be pulled thru the conduit and sign posts. The change would increase the contract price by Five Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy -Five Dollars and Zero Cents (+$5,975.00). Reason for Change Order: Item 1: 1.00 psi board is no longer used for this application by the City due to the historic bid prices received. The City now routinely uses 60 psi board for this application. Item 2: City desires to facilitate future installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) at each cross walk. RRFB's are pedestrian activated amber flashers to draw driver's attention to pedestrians at the crosswalk. Actual installation of RRFB will occur after the roundabout is operational if necessary to provide additional pedestrian crossing protections. Attachments: (Dist documents supporting change):.
