MEETING DATE: June 20, 2011 AGENDA ITEM TYPE: Action Item RECOMMENDATION: Open and continue the public hearing at the applicant’s request to August 1, 2011. RECOMMENDED MOTION: Based upon the applicant’s request, I move to open and continue the public hearing on Impact Fee Appeal 1102 to August 1, 2011. BACKGROUND: The public hearing for this impact fee appeal was originally scheduled for May 23. Due to the number of items on that agenda and the time required for this appeal, the appellant volunteered to postpone the public hearing until June 20. The Commission opened and continued the hearing accordingly. Subsequent to May 23, the appellant identified a scheduling conflict on June 20. Therefore, the appellant has requested that the public hearing on the impact fee appeal be postponed a second time to August 1. UNRESOLVED ISSUES: None at this time. ALTERNATIVES: The City Commission could deny the appellant’s request to postpone the public hearing. However, this would result in holding the public hearing without the appellant’s participation, which Staff does not recommend. FISCAL EFFECTS: There are no fiscal effects associated with postponing the public hearing. Attachments: None. Report compiled on: June 13, 2011 83
