BACKGROUND: As previously decided, proclamations can be added to consent for
the City Commission’s approval.

Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum
Day of Celebration
July 8, 2011

WHEREAS, the Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University
in Bozeman is internationally known for its paleontology research under
the direction of Dr. Jack Horner, and
WHEREAS, the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Katsuyama,
Japan is a world-class paleontology museum, and
WHEREAS, Kokoro Company, Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan has previously
partnered with the Museum of the Rockies, and
WHEREAS, the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum is hosting the
inaugural venue of the exhibit, The Growth and Behavior of Dinosaurs,
the result of the partnership between the Museum of the Rockies and
Kokoro Company, Ltd., and
WHEREAS, Masateru Shibata, is the host curator of the exhibit, and
studied dinosaurs at Montana State University in Bozeman,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED THAT I, Jeffrey K.
Krauss, Mayor of the City of Bozeman, Montana, do hereby proclaim July
8, 2011 as a day of celebration between the people of Fukui and the
people of Bozeman in recognition of their shared interest and pride in
their respective museums.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused
the great seal of the City of Bozeman, in the State of Montana, United
States of America, to be affixed at Bozeman, Montana, this 13th day of
June, in the year Two Thousand Eleven.
