SUBJECT: Appointment to the Zoning Commission
MEETING DATE: June 13, 2011
MEETING TYPE: Action
RECOMMENDATION: Appoint one new member to the Zoning Commission.
BACKGROUND: There are two ongoing vacancies on the Zoning Commission and
one new applicant. This applicant is currently on the Planning Board.
The Zoning Commission was re-created under Ordinance No. 1500, to establish procedures for
the administration of the municipal zoning ordinance within the City limits. Resolution No.
3312 then established the membership of the Zoning Commission.
According to Resolution No. 3312:
The Zoning Commission shall consist of five members appointed by the City Commission.
Members of the board shall serve two-year staggered terms. Persons of legal age may be
appointed to the board. All members must be residents of the City of Bozeman.
This Commission has two ongoing vacancies and one new applicant.

Code, all board members are required to attend a yearly ethics workshop provided free of charge
