FYI Montana jobless rate dips to 7.3% Slightly fewer people were out of work in April as Montana's unemployment rate dipped 0.1% to sit at 7.3% for the month. Meanwhile, the U.S. unemployment rate increased by 0.2% to 9.0%. "Continued private sector job growth of over 1,300 jobs lowered the unemployment rate for the month," said MT Labor Commissioner Keith Kelly.
