HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3454 Intent to donate to MSU --- COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3454 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA, DECLARING IT TO BE THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN TO SELL CERTAIN SURPLUS ITEMS FROM THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION TO A COUNTY OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION WITHIN THE STATE OF MONTANA. WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman has acquired new replacement personal computers and network system; and WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman no longer has a need for the obsolete personal computers, computer parts and network parts; and WHEREAS, Section 7-8-101 (2), Montana Code Annotated, grants the City of Bozeman the power to dispose of any property which is not necessary for the conduct of the City business to any county or other political subdivision without an ordinance, public auction, bids or appraisal. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana: Section 1 That it is hereby declared to be in the best interests of the City of Bozeman to dispose of the obsolete personal computers, computer parts and network parts to Montana State University, a political subdivision of the State of Montana. Section 2 That, pursuant to Section 7.8.101, M.C.A., the Clerk of the Commission shall cause notice to be published in the Bozeman Dailv Chronicle at least once a week for three (3) successive weeks, which notice shall be to the effect that such Resolution has been duly and legally passed and further expressing the City's intent to dispose of the items listed in Section 1, in the manner described herein.
