Recreation Department Notes
Aquatics Seasonal closure for repairs: New natatorium lighting going in, several walls painted,
several banks of old lockers coming out, recycled and being replaced, and new pumps going in. Lots of
cleaning!
Front entryway Swim Center double paned doors replaced w/ new ADA access and
etched hours of operation in windows.
Bogert summer swim class in place and includes a new young teen Boot Camp in the
mornings.
Swim Center summer pool hours and WSI and Lifeguarding classes now in place.
Currently hiring for 1 LG III and two LG II, soon to be hiring for summer seasonal help.
New American Red Cross guidelines for CPR, AED and First Aid are in place and will go
into effect March 31st. New Lifeguard guidelines will go into effect at the end of August.
Recreation Currently hiring for Rec II position as well as looking for the start of hiring of summer
seasonal help.
Recreation Department is the third largest hit on the City webpage! We follow 1) City
Commission and 2) Human resources for jobs.
First draft of spring / summer brochure is in with second edits underway. It looks like it
will be between 36-37 pages, our largest offering to date.
T-ball sign-ups are underway with 78 signed up on Saturday at the Ridge and more
signed up since (95 as of today). Last year we had ~360 kids involved. This year we are expecting more
as we added a three year old league which parents had asked for.
Rentals for Lindley and Beall are filling in quickly for April – August
Summer Activities Round –Up at the Emerson on April 7th, from 3:30-6:30pm. We now
have ~30 vendors signed up to participate
Doreen putting in all of the spring and summer class codes for registrations (Yuck)
