COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3498
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN.
MONTANA. AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S PARTICIPATION IN RECERTIFICATION
IN THE MONT ANA CERTIFIED COMMUNITIES PROGRAM AND DESIGNATING
THE
GALLA TIN DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION AS THE
SPONSORING
ORGANIZATION.
WHEREAS. the City Commission did, on the 20th day of May 1985, adopt Commission
Resolution No. 2556, authorizing the City's participation in the Montana Certified
Communities
Program; and
WHEREAS, the City, under that resolution, designated the Gallatin Development
Corporation as the sponsoring organization; and
WHEREAS, since that time the Gallatin Development Corporation has been actively
involved in this program and in promoting economic development in Bozeman; and
WHEREAS, the need for promoting economic development in Bozeman continues to exist;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman desires to continue its participation in the Montana
Certified Communities Program, with the Gallatin Development Corporation serving
as the
sponsoring organization.
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, that the City hereby endorses Gallatin Development Corporation as the
sponsoring
organization for the City of Bozeman, which became a Montana Certified Community
in 1986; and
authorizes the Gallatin Development Corporation to complete recertification requirements
on behalf
of the community.
The City will comply with recertification requirements established by the
Montana Certified Communities Program in exchange for preferential information,
referrals and
other incentives from the Montana Department of Commerce.
It is understood that if certification lapses and the community seeks to later
renew the
designation as a Montana Certified Community, it must comply with the full program
requirements
of a community seeking original certification.
We pledge to cooperate in achieving the requirements which will entitle our community
to be certified for three additional years.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at
a regular session thereof held on the 10th day of December 2001.
