SUBJECT: Re-appointments to the Zoning Commission
MEETING DATE: January 31, 2011

RECOMMENDATION: Re-appoint two members to the Zoning Commission.
BACKGROUND: Three members on the Zoning Commission have terms which
expire January 31, 2011. In addition, there is one ongoing vacancy. Two of the members have re-
applied for another term.
The Zoning Commission was re-created under Ordinance No. 1500, to establish procedures for
the administration of the municipal zoning ordinance within the City limits. Resolution No.
3312 then established the membership of the Zoning Commission.
According to Resolution No. 3312:
The Zoning Commission shall consist of five members appointed by the City Commission.
Members of the board shall serve two-year staggered terms. Persons of legal age may be
appointed to the board. All members must be residents of the City of Bozeman.
This Commission has three expiring terms, one ongoing vacancy and two members re-
applying.
