Kukulski, City Manager SUBJECT: (Re)Appointments to the Cemetery Advisory Board MEETING DATE: December 20, 2010 AGENDA TYPE: Action RECOMMENDATION: (Re)appoint up to four members to the Cemetery Advisory Board. BACKGROUND: Five terms will expire on the Cemetery Board on December 31, 2010. Four of the five members have re-applied. No new applications have been received. 2.76.030 There is created a Cemetery Board consisting of seven members to be appointed by the City Commission for three year staggered terms. A majority of the members shall be residents of the City, and whenever practicable one member shall be a representative of an active recognized veteran’s group. Should a vacancy occur on the board, the City Commission shall appoint a new member to complete the term of appointment so vacated. The Board is advisory to both the City Commission and the Director of Public Service, making recommendations regarding operation of the Sunset Hills Cemetery. There are five expired terms and four re-applying applicants.
