Commission providing another avenue for citizens to become
involved in local governance. Boards are able to study complex
policy issues, review applications, provide additional forums for
public hearings and act as additional eyes and ears within the
community. They advise the Commission and staff on a wide
variety of topics and sometimes take on much needed projects
that might otherwise go untended.
This is why it is so important to find dedicated individuals
interested in giving back to the community by volunteering on a
board. The City is currently seeking applicants to fill a
variety of positions due to terms expiring the end of
December and January and ongoing vacancies. More
information on the boards, the available positions and
