Individuals may comment on matters falling within the purview of the Tourism Business Improvement District. There will also be an opportunity in conjunction with each agenda item for comments pertaining to that item. Please limit your comments to three minutes. Reports o Administration Report o Projected net occupancy report . o Gallatin Valley Tournament Committee needs reimbursed for insurance o last fiscal year. Statewide TBID meeting report. o Action- Consider motion to approve Bozeman TBID grant application. o Action- Consider motion to approve $500 fee for late reporting and set o default occupancy for non-reporting hotels at 90% to work in conjunction with city penalties for late remittance. Action- Consider motion to approve a TBID Director $500 spending o threshold. Fairgrounds Study- Action- Consider motion to approve $5000 grant to o support the fairgrounds business plan, to be awarded only after all the other money required is received. (Sue Shockley) Tournament Committee Report o Sales Report o Building Leads List, contacted many regional associations have had o conversations with many of the larger nationwide companies in town. Action- Consider motion to approve up to $4500 allocation for Jim’s o attendance at the Religious Conference Managers Association in Tampa Bay. Continued meetings with MSU. Additional meetings with Bridger Bowl, o the Fairgrounds and Downtown Business Association. Marketing Report o Action- Consider motion to approve $3000 allocation for a booth o display, role up vertical banner and logo development to be used at upcoming meeting planner conferences by the TBID sales staff. Action- Consider motion to approve $295 for sports destination o publication. Action- Consider motion to approve $1000 for design of meeting o planner marketing piece. Action- Consider motion to approve $10,000 budget for advertising in o Smartmeeting publication/website/regional meetings. See at smartmeetings.com/about/advertising-info Action- consider motion to approve $5000 to promote the Bridger Bowl o ski and stay packages. Financial report o FYI/Other Business. o Discussion of Bozeman/Belgrade Lodging Association appointment to TBID o Board. Discuss using Smith Travel Research for monthly marketing information and o collecting only quarterly numbers from the district hoteliers. Website Discussion. o Next meeting, Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 Note: Other than the meeting starting time, times listed are approximate and agenda items may be rearranged. Action may be taken on any item listed on the agenda. Public comment is welcome on all items. Bozeman Tourism Improvement District meetings are open to all members of the public.
