COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3618
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO PURCHASE THE BOZEMAN
ARMORY.
WHEREAS, the State of Montana Department of Military Affairs has constructed a new Armory
for the Bozeman unit of the Montana National Guard; and
WHEREAS, the Bozeman Armory building located at 24 West Mendenhall Street has
sUbsequently been deemed surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the State of Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation Trust
Land Management Division has pursued the disposal of the surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman has expressed interest in acquiring the Bozeman Armory for
a public purpose through exercising the provisions of Section 77-2-351, M.C.A.; and
WHEREAS, the appraised value of the subject property is $815,000.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission the City of Bozeman, Montana,
that Clark V. Johnson, City Manager of the City of Bozeman, is hereby authorized and directed to
proceed with acquisition of the Bozeman Armory Building located at 24 West Mendenhall Street, at the
appraised value of $815,000, and to execute all attendant documents.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at a
regular session thereof held on the 8th day of September 2003.
