COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3620
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOZEMAN,
MONTANA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO SELL THE BOZEMAN
ARMORY.
WHEREAS, the State of Montana Department of Military Affairs has constructed a new
Armory for the Bozeman unit ofthe Montana National Guard; and
WHEREAS, the Bozeman Armory building located at 24 West Mendenhall Street has
subsequently been deemed surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the State of Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation
Trust Land Management Division has pursued the disposal of the surplus property; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bozeman is currently acquiring the Bozeman Armory for a public
purpose through exercising the provisions of Section 77-2-351, M.C.A.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman,
Montana, that Clark V. Johnson, City Manager of the City of Bozeman, is hereby authorized and
directed to pursue sale of the Bozeman Armory Building located at 24 West Mendenhall Street,
for the best offer over $815,000, and to execute all attendant documents for that sale atter placing
a deed restriction on said property that limits its use to being part of a performing arts center
complex in the downtown.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Bozeman, Montana, at
a regular session thereof held on the 22nd day of September 2003.
